2019: A Year without Fear

By January 10, 2019July 11th, 2022No Comments

We are already 10 days into the new year and I’m still struggling to type 2019 instead of 2018. They say it takes 30 days to build a habit right?! Sooooo only 20 more days to go! Jesus, take the wheel! I hope that 2019 has already brought you beautiful memories, new friends, and different experiences coupled with some familiarity. Sometimes when we hear the word, “new,” a little spark of fear and panic enters our bodies, however brief. I’m here to encourage you to BREATHE. Newness invites fresh beginnings, a chance to start again, to mend and restore! While there may be hiccups along the way, moving forward is a direction I like, after my fear dissipates. J At Synergy, we are excited to move forward with innovation and passion, but there are also things that have not changed in 2019:

Payment procedures. Our world is becoming more and more digitalized. We rely heavily on our smart devices to remind us of bills due, deadlines for a project, doctor’s appointments and various other life events. Our aim in 2018, was to make our offices a safer environment while boosting convenience, efficiency and expediency for you. Effective 1/1/18, we ceased receiving payments in our office, asking you, our customer, to send your payment directly to your carrier. This helped in various ways:

  1. Allowed more of our customers to enroll in automatic payments via EFT or debit/credit card.
  2. Less payments were missed! Woot woot!
  3. Allowed more of our customers to venture into their carrier specific app and/or website to check on due dates and payments processed just in case the mail was slow due to holidays, moving etc in real

Our open door policy. I’m a visual person, hands down! You can spout off numbers to me over the phone, but I will struggle to track with you. I need a power point, colorful flash cards, a catchy jingle or some sort of tutorial. I mean, help a kinesthetic learner out! If you fall in that spectrum (or even if you don’t), come on over. Understanding your insurance policy and rifling through the many pages of your insurance policy are easily overwhelming. Please don’t hesitate to contact us and we can set up a meeting at your convenience to discuss coverages and more!

We are always here for you. From claims to changes to coverage questions, we’ve got you covered. Our knowledgeable team of producers and account managers are ready to serve you! While we have moved all of our team members into the office in Mishawaka, our commitment to make sure that you are speaking with the correct team member that can assist you remains the same.

Commitment to the community. Insurance is important, but we strongly believe interacting with our local community is even better. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with The Window in Goshen this year. The Window serves people of all ages in the Goshen area, especially the elderly, the disadvantaged, and those living on low incomes. Health screenings, meals, flu shots, craft classes and recreational opportunities are just some of the amazing benefits this ministry offers our community.

Familiarity brings a great sense of comfort doesn’t it? But as 2019 continues, new opportunities will arise not only at our office, but in our personal lives as well. I’m not big into the hype of resolutions, but I hope that I can look 2019 in the face without fear of the new, possibly scary and wonderful moments coming my way and say, “Let’s do this!” I can’t wait to see what the new year brings you!
