Account Manager – Synergy Insurance Group
Position Overview:
Synergy Insurance Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join our team. This is not a production-based position but role does require travel across a five-county region to meet with clients. Our Account Manager plays a key role in supporting our producers and managing with an assigned book of business. The ideal candidate will have prior business to business experience in a business organization, agency, or brokerage setting and is passionate about providing excellent service and stewardship to our clients!
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Manage and expand an assigned book of business, acting as the primary contact for client inquiries and needs.
- Sales Support: Provide critical support to the Producer, ensuring client needs are met.
- Client Flexibility: Work with clients of various sizes, ranging from under 10 to over 100 employees, and be versed in or willing to learn different funding arrangements (fully insured, self-funded, level funded).
- Retention & Growth: Focus on retaining clients and meeting book growth targets.
- Account Management: Handle day-to-day management of complex client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and continued service excellence.
- Renewal Planning: Lead renewal planning and analysis, working with the service team to coordinate programs and vendor support.
- Year-Round Client Engagement: Provide consistent management of contracted services to ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
- Customer Stewardship: Deliver outstanding customer service both internally and externally.
- Additional Duties: Perform other account management duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or an associate degree with significant industry experience.
- Experience: Prior business to business experience in a business organization, agency, or brokerage setting. Experience with growing and maintaining client relationships with a high level of customer service.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications and other relevant software. Willingness to learn industry specific client management systems.
- Licenses: Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Life and Health License.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across a five-county region. Overnight travel is rare.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
