Well, here it is November, and we’ve already had the first snow of the season! I don’t know about you, but I definitely wasn’t ready for that white stuff on the ground. Give me one more month of warmer temps and beautiful leaves changing color and falling! Anyways, I don’t think the weather truly cares about my opinion. Mother Nature is going to do what she wants. While Mother Nature plays with my emotions, there are some ways I can prep this holiday season! Verify my heat is working, make sure my pipes are properly insulated, give the fireplace a good cleaning and make sure I have plenty of smell good candles to give that cozy holiday vibe. This season brings so much to people all over the world. Memories of all varieties, snow(obviously), social events, delicious food and travel! I know you’ve got a crazy busy schedule over the next 45 days, so let’s touch on travel quickly!
One, when you’re traveling, look into travel insurance. If I know anything about life, it can throw you a wicked curve ball when you least expect it. Make sure you have all your bases covered no matter what.
Before you leave your home for any sort of travel, check the weather. Will it get below freezing? Do you have your thermostat set at the appropriate level? If you’re going to be gone for an extended period of time, is there someone who can check on your house?
Last but not least, for my snowbirds, check that vehicle insurance. Where are you keeping the vehicle you are taking to Florida/Arizona etc? Auto insurance is cracking down on making sure the vehicle is insured in the state that it’s registered in. If you fly down to Florida and keep your vehicle down there, it needs to be registered and insured in Florida.
Alright, that’s it! Go shop, enjoy and live life!
