Here at Synergy Insurance Group, we recognize God as our guide in all our decisions and actions. Our desire is to provide our employees with a work environment that encourages excellence, honesty, integrity and soundness of character.
One of the ways in which we create this kind of work environment is by getting involved in our community. We have partnerships with organizations in the community as well as holding events and fundraisers throughout the year to help support these great causes. In 2017, we have committed to partnerships with both Hope Ministries and Transformation Ministries.
Hope Ministries is an organization located in South Bend, IN that strives to create a community in which hurting people find healing. Hope has a facility big enough to house residents composed of those in our community that are homeless, struggle with addictions, and much, much more. They have counseling sessions to help people deal with past hurts in healthy ways and provide job and skill training to residents in order to prepare them for jobs in the future. Hope also provides meals both to their residents and to many homeless and hungry on the streets of our community. Through our partnership, we allow employees to take time out of their work day to serve lunches at Hope many times throughout the year. Our company also holds various drives throughout the year to raise food and items from Hope’s urgent needs list. Our past drive raised 490 items to donate to Hope!
Transformation Ministries is another great organization also located in South Bend, IN. They believe that youth are the leaders of tomorrow. They understand the significant pressures and difficulties that shape who the youth will become and want to help in the growth process by providing a loving family atmosphere for student who want to take their spiritual and emotional growth to the next level. They invest in students through weekly meetings in various locations throughout South Bend with family style meals and family discussion in the hope that these youth would be leaders in their community. The youth are provided with a unique support system that comes alongside them and their immediate family with the ultimate hope that the student would be encouraged in their leadership development to become who God made them to be. Transformation Ministries has four main components that they have chosen as the foundation of their organization: Spiritual Growth, Academic Empowerment, Life Skills Training and Mentoring. Through our partnership, we set up opportunities for our employees to serve on food teams, host Second Saturday events for the group, and help financially with some of Transformation Ministries’ needs.
Throughout this year, we have made donations to Hello Gorgeous and are currently hosting a coat drive for Second Coat Ministries! Contact us if you would like to donate to these organizations or would like more information.
